Name: Butch Walker
Birth Name: Bradley Glenn Walker
Birth Date: November 14, 1969

Butch Walker is a recording artist, songwriter, and record producer.

Walker grew up in Cartersville, Georgia and stood out as a guitarist and performer in several rock bands in the '80s including Bad Boyz and Byte the Bullet. In 1988, he took Byte the Bullet to LA and they were signed to Virgin Records within the year. The band changed names to SouthGang and released two albums, Tainted Angel in 1991 and Group Therapy in 1992. SouthGang was one of the first bands to tour China in the early '90s.

Afterwards, Butch took over lead vocals and with ex-SouthGang members Jayce Fincher and Mitch McLee formed several bands in the 90s including Floyds Funk Revival, The Floyds, and the popular pop-rock band Marvelous 3 which had a relatively successful hit with the song "Freak Of The Week." After the break-up of the band in early 2000, Butch then began a solo career, releasing the albums Left of Self-Centered in 2002 and Letters in 2004, finishing 2005 playing over 200 live shows across both the U.S. and Japan. Butch Walker was recently featured as a headlining artist on the My Space promoted Inaugural Hotel Cafe tour - supporting independent artists from the Los Angeles Venue of the same name.

Several of his songs have been hits for other artists, including Bowling for Soup's "Girl All the Bad Guys Want" and Avril Lavigne's #1 Hit "My Happy Ending". He has written and produced records for such artists as Bowling for Soup, Pink, Lindsay Lohan, Avril Lavigne, Lit, Sevendust, The Donnas, Hot Hot Heat, American Hi-Fi, Midtown, Puffy AmiYumi and SR-71.

In late 2005, he released his first DVD "Live At Budokan." On July 11th, 2006, his newest record was released, entitled "The Rise and Fall of Butch Walker and the Let’s-Go-Out-Tonites," which he recorded with his backing band, the Let's Go Out Tonites. Butch Walker was named Rolling Stone producer of the year in 2005. He will be the producer for the new Rockstar:Supernova group.

Walker was a guest judge on the second season of the American reality television program Rock Star, during which, in consultation with Walker, Tommy Lee, Gilby Clarke, and Jason Newsted will select a lead singer for a new band, Supernova (Rock Star band), to comprise the three, the first album of which Walker will produce.

Marvelous 3 first appeared on the scene with their acclaimed indie debut, Math and Other Problems in 1997. Word of mouth quickly spread, and Elektra Records signed the band. The next year saw the release of Hey! Album, their breakthrough CD. It featured the catchy radio hit Freak of the Week. Riding the success of their hit single, Marvelous 3 toured aggressively, as well as appearing on major late night talk shows and being featured in numerous magazines. After touring, the band went about creating their third album, Ready, Sex, Go, which was released in 2000 in preparation for the "rock epiphany of the new millennium." Ready, Sex, Go suffered from poor promotion, and the band realized that their record label wasn't willing to do them justice. A year after their third release, Marvelous 3 decided to part ways and take a break from the cut-throat music business. In 2002, lead singer Butch Walker began a solo career, releasing his first album Left of Self-Centered. In 2004 Butch released his follow up Letters. On July 25th, 2006 Butch and his band "Let's Go Out Tonites!" released the album entitled "The Rise And Fall Of...".

FACT: Although mentioned in the credits, Brad Pitt, Paul Stanley, Jennifer Lopez, and Jack Black did NOT sing gang vocals on ReadySexGo. When asked about these guest vocalists in interviews, Butch Walker admits to it being a joke.

The Floyds/Floyds Funk Revival Bio/History

Scene and Heard - Buh-Bye...
By Delia Rae

Exiting into the Hartsfield mecca from Kiwi flight 74, I was overtaken with the realization of just how strong a music base Atlanta has become. Beyond the "poo-poohs" of insiders whose gripes and grumbles threaten to slice up the tendons stringing together our music community, I've heard the rumble of a thousand rock shows, each on so potent and unique and underappreciated that at times I have wanted to cry. Happily, the raging that comprise a funked-out outfit commonly known as Floyds Funk Revival work up a sweat that drenches audiences outside of our compact Georgian nation. Standing ten feet tall and bulletproof, Jayce Fincher (bass), Chrystina Lloree (percussion/vox), Butch Walker (guitar/vox), Mitch McLee (drums), and Bradford Rogers (keys) proved before my eyes that everywhere you go, the kids do want to rock. From Florida clubs to Asian stadiums, these musicians turn out audiences by the light of their collective silvery souls. Soul, afterall is the key here, as Walker invokes the mid-eighties lost heros through transcendental yelps and moans and comes 'round back home to gobble down the greasiest ribs of rock's rhythm and blues heritage. Touring excessively around the nation and self-promoting a cassette release that's already been bought by over 7,000 greedy fans is a stressful challenge that Walker and Fincher deal with by producing up and comers out of the bands new home studio. Rage on brothers, your sense of style is timeless.
